I have a 10 inch Dovii and a 6 inch pair of Umbee. Love my Dovii he is like a watch dog bangs glass and eats like a horse. Umbee still small but.staring to really like them color wise I think Umbee are a real site to see, im noticing mu Male Umbee is more of a psycho at 6 innch, he like to stay in his corner alot but out of the blue he.will just swim full speed back and forth then body check the female lol. So far watching my umbee grow has been more interesting then my dovii, but dovii really start to bloom at 12 inch so I will see!

All the dovii I've kept have turned into filter and lid assassins lol meaning they've attacked the filter and lids causing damage to themselves!! Which I found very annoying. Umbees on the otherhand have not done that. They both are late boomers but theres just something about umbees that a dovii can't touch;) I vote umbees all the way!!!! Umbee poweeerrr!!!!

Im leaning towards a umbee, they look like suped up Jds to me.

Exactly lol which kind of pushed me away from the start.....I find dovii to be much more personal and the aggression comes out at a very young age my old dovii I had was about 13 inches I got him at 3 inches and from the second he hit my tank he was a mean little sob soon ass you walk in the room he would start glass banging and even at 3 inches he'd still try and attack me the whole time I was cleaning his tank my vote is dovii all the way I stumbled on Mel's video of his 600 gallon with his pair and it inspired me to get a dovii lol just raw power
