Umbee vs dovii personality!

Id go with a dovii just cause of the sheer aggression and power, Mels video also helped out with me getting mine haha
 
i kept a young dovii many years ago. i only had it for a liitle while, but i thought it had a very unique personality. i haven't had an umbee before. ... but in the spirit of voting. i vote dovii. :)

Best personality fish i've kept are Oscars and MIdas/Red Devils though. :)
 
I love my dovii but patience is something you need with dovii mine is probably in the 8-9 in mark and is finally coming out with ppl around. Only time mine would come prior was if he was beating tank mates to a pulp. Definitely a fish to keep by itself he's trying to get to my pleco right now
 
I have not been impressed with the many Male Dovii I've seen in person.
IMHO Female Dovii are much better looking than males

Anyway I vote Umbee Because My 7" Wild Caught Female Rio Mag Umbee is already somewhat of a glass banger and is absolutely gorgeous. I haven't really seen an Umbee I haven't liked.

My Female has tons of personality at a young age and will follow me from one end of her tank to the other.
From what I hear you won't really get that with similar sized Dovii

I'm sure either way you Wong be disappointed if you get an outgoing specimen. Because that is where the answer lies. It all comes down to the individual. Get a group and keep the most out going!

Never kept a Dovii, also. But I have an Umbee and about 8 big Amphilophus ( Midas complex ) and none , even the Umbee, compares as galss bangers.

Funny how different people have different experiences. That is what makes this fun.
