Why is that?
I've never owned a Rio, but am in the process of growing out some Gorillus Blues. (currently 5" got them at 1"). I'm just curious (I might need to buy a few Rio's)

They are more interactive and active. I also prefer the look. Both strains are great, but rios are special.

Gorillus grow a diferent face when older..
I like Gorillus females. Males are really cool but after 10" is down hill to me because their wierd head hump and face start to develope.
BFMs get nicer after 10" for me

I currently have white sand in the tank. Would it be better if I changed it out for a medium dark natural colored gravel to enhance the Umbees color?
If my fish dont make it out of there sickness im getting an umbee. why does everyone prefer the rios over gorillus. any specific trait that sets them apart.
For me it's looks. The first time I saw a pic of an adult Gorillus Blue, it was love at first sight. Amazing color, and I like the head shape.
