Got home today to find my small umbees hovering near an ornament and all other fish up in a corner of the 1400L.
Upon closer inspection I discovered that the umbees had spawned and there was eggs on the top of an ornament!!!
I could not believe it!!!, So chuffed!!
The female is 13cm & the male 9.5cm, so they are tiny as, certainly wasn't trying to spawn them.......
Now I have removed the 20cm pleco who was getting chomped by the umbees a lot and just left the pair in with the other fish for the moment.
I'll get some photos up soon, had to use a flash so colours are not right but you will be able to see the eggs etc.
Anyone know if I should be removing the eggs to a fry saver or leaving the eggs in the community tank?
Keen to hear peoples thoughts.
J
My male, looks shiny as in person!
