It sucks that your bro lost his pole, HE BROKE THE LAW. Don't like it? Take it up with the LOCAL government. Get involved. Start a petition, start a referendum, start an initiative. Don't instead, start spouting about the constitution, when you probably never even f***in read it. You say your a vet, you fought for this country, but now you hate it. I'm sorry, Did "someone" take your country and now you want it back?

People pay taxes so you can have a clean wildlife that ALL people have access to. When you don't pay for a license, your freeloading off the state. Then you have the nerve to think you should be allowed to freeload, while others should have to pay your share.
OH, BTW, I know of a place that has no fees, no regulations, no government; THUS NO TAXES. It's called Haiti. If you need help packing, I'll gladly lend a hand.


NOW, if you can't afford it, then I think you should be able to qualify for a waiver (yes, I believe in social programs; when your down, We (the government) are there to help).


Let me sum it all up to this:
When you break the law, even if you don't know about it, it's your fault. You can't come onto a forum and start flaming how "the government" has taken away people's rights when you probably don't know how the government functions; that only exposes your ignorance.


Topics like these rub all people the wrong way. Don't be surprised if you get a response that you don't like......

After checking back on all of this.. I'm just scared you're a Vet.... Might wanna start checking up on DNR regs so you don't get in trouble in the potential future w/ wildlife brought to you by well meaning citizens. and Ask them why you're lil' bro needs a liscense.. and find out what that money is for.. instead of just b*tching about it being unfair, and making wild accusations attacking the government...

I had a few friends who didn't get their liscense... got tagged.. they went and got their liscense, went to the judge. apologized, paid their fines.. and that was it.. be glad it wasn't 300$ liek it is in WI. get in touch w/ the DNR/judges office ect... and be pro-active. instead of a whiney baby about it. and get something accomplished. If your gear is that important...

As for thinking Bush was actually good for this country.. well no one can help you there...

PA License is $22.70 for ages 16-64.

The fishing license fee is there to provide a service. Clean water, public access to the waterway, stocking the waters, salaries for FWC officers, etc. Whether all this money is spent appropriately is a question none of us will probably ever know the answer to.

You could apply your argument to a public street too, right? Shouldn't have to pay 25 cents per 1/2 hr. to park on the street. But if you don't you're gonna get a ticket that makes you wish you put the quarter in the meter. Parking fees pay for a service.

My point is there's a lot of stuff all of us don't like, for a lot of different reasons but we have to suck it up and pay it now or pay (usually much more) it later. You actually paid a price for your free license, the time and sacrifice you made to the military.

The "i disagree on these moral grounds" argument, however worthy, just doesn't fly in our world.
