this is the terror that was in the bucket. he was in this box for just 10 min and he was happy.
is he thin?. there is a poop stuck there. is it really a male??. my female terror, parrot and red jewel are trying to hit him.and if he is a female will both of them stay together (terrors) ??.

Sounds like he's doing better-- so he's back in the main tank in a box? I assume there's a cover, and it looks like you drilled some holes for water flow. Better idea than the bucket now that he's revived. I'd still do a divider eventually, it may sound funny but even in the main tank a box can slow his growth.

Looks male to me. As far as being accepted by the other fish, based on their behavior I still say do a see through divider, give it time, and see if eventually they ignore him or accept his presence. It can definitely work, I've done it, but it's not guaranteed.

Other options: 1) keep him divided until he's too big for the other fish to mess with. 2) Get him his own tank.

Will he ever get along with the female? Maybe yes. Maybe no. Or after he grows he could turn into the bully, or even kill the female. Cichlids aren't always predictable.

I don't think so my male is a coward. i don't know why everything happens when i am outside when i was away my mom told me everyone was fighting tinfoils were jumping. from all this I don't know how the box got opened.the male barely survived female fins are teared and my jewels are sitting in the bottom and parrots hiding. putted some stresscoat after that now they're doing well. male is in the bucket. After 2 hours of drying my tiles and refiling the tank i am here.

Sounds like you may need to rethink your stock. Don't remember if you mentioned this on an earlier page, but what size tank?

As for the male being a coward, that can all change once he gets some size to him.

It is a 125 gallon tank.i can't exchange or give my fish my LFS owner says to just throw them in a waterbody,I told him how harmful this is for ecosystem but he doesn't listen.hmm i hope he gets big and bulky fast i will get the divider in 2 weeks, until then he is in the bucket
i am scared that he may die after this incident.i am getting a glass divider. i told y'all that he ate that flake he didn't he hasn't eaten anything. i was water changing i found it inside the hiding spot .he is becoming weaker now ?
