they lost me when they tried too hard to be funny. I think episode 3 it was

it's on the "never again" list and there's just no coming back from that. it has iron man, harry potter and Spartacus to keep it company

The corny humor almost nailed the show for me too but they've lessened up on it appreciably as the season progressed..I've tried to sit through a Potter film but the cockney dialogue is too hard to follow.

Since z nation is now on Netflix and I can binge watch it, I'm giving it a go. The first time I watched when it came out I found the zombies moving so fast annoying. Why are they on steroids?

Wait til you see the episode where the zombies are on speed. Sad part is that's not the worst thing that happens in that episode

It's a spinoff because they're introducing a group during the same post apocalypse event and world they've already introduced you to instead of recreating a completely different world like other zombie shows. That's my opinion atleast

My thought on it is when a character is on the main show as a low grade actor or not as the main star...then gets their own show. Such as Xena getting her own show after being on Hercules. Or Stargate Atlanlis (Rodney) being on Stargate SG1

This is mostly how it's been done going all the way back to Archie Bunker and the Jeffersons but I guess a show can still be considered a spinoff as long as it has some elements,if not characters from the original.

Sumo seriously watch episode Spartacus from like episode 4. I know you still haven't taken said advice.

I'm sorry but if you make a show about the same universe and the same apocalypse but just start a year earlier then the original show....how can you pretend there's no reference? To me that's 100% a spinoff even if there's never a crossover. It's just the walking dead western edition lol

Too much sexual stuff on Spartacus for me to even start to watch. I have a 5 year old girl and a wife that are always passing by the TV. Plus it's not good for my religion either.

The same universe makes it hard to agrue.

Since we were just talking about "In the Flesh". BBC has announced it will not renew it for season 3.
