Upcoming Movies and TV shows

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If fantastic 4 didn't change anything, I wouldn't even talk about it. I prob still won't watch it but kudos on the publicity. Had they kept the movies going every 2-3 years I might've still been hooked. I've disconnected though

I honestly would prefer a well made movie with good actors and writing that strayed from the story, over a pile of dung that followed the comics storyline

I guess it depends how into the comics you are, as to how you will feel about this situation?

Since a lot of the people i know that are somewhat hardcore into comics seem a little up in arms about this, saying why not stay true to the story... even they said, small changes to story lines can be excepted, but major changes just messes with their ideology of the original story, thereby turning them off the movies...

So i guess if you were never into the comics, or haven't been into them for a while it probably won't effect you as much, but if you are one of those who still chases comic book stories quite religiously, maybe its more upsetting?

no I agree with that homer

but the thing is, even if I was a hardcore comics fan of F4, they already killed it for me in their first couple go arounds. the movies were crap. I don't care to ever watch them again, that's how unappealing it was for me even as a casual

so, that being the case, IF they are gonna do it again, the least I want to expect is good writing and actors/director. that takes precedence over sticking to the comic's storyline at this point because the previous attempts already turned me off

like the batman movies. how many times can you rehash batman? they butchered it and turned it into a mockery after batman returns. but when they redid it, they made it great again (and that's not to say there wasn't plot holes in the Nolan batmans) but didn't matter to me because the overall projects were put together well

For me, the characters should be the same (as comics) and any major storyline that affects the character's state (such as the death of a supporting character).

Now if a movie director wants to do another story not in the comics...that's fine, just don't screw up what was done in the comics( example: X-men 3 Kills Cyclops and Professor X)

I saw it and it was okay but then I like most military movies pretty much....not sure why no one mentioned it but I don't recall anyone mentioning Lone Survivor either, which I thought was better.

True, i guess i neglected that point, which is that sometimes the first attempt was bad enough to put off even the most hardcore of fans due to bad actors / directors, or even possibly the wrong type of actor portraying certain characters...

For example, i personally never could get over Ben Affleck beingDare Devil... in my mind, he just doesn't suit the role... maybe its the way he looks, but something about him just totally put me off dare devil movie...

Any of yall watch American sniper? How'd that get no mention

I mainly only mention action/scfi type movies. In my mind I consider it to be history/true story type. I don't have an issue with it being brought up(keep the politics out of it(lee)). It's just something that didn't enter my mind.

Anyone interested in The Kingsmen?

I hated lone survivor. So boring. Congrats a bunch of guys played jack and Jill until some guy found him and took him to a village. In this real life story the "enemy" again had the worse aim in history and missed 95% of their shots despite having RPG and superior vantage points. BORING. I can't know the results of a movie for the movie to hold my interest. The name alone already ruined it. I kept waiting for something amazing or heroic to happen. Never came.
