You can also try the Pan/Trout worms from Walmart. They are much smaller and skinnier.

OK great, ill try them too, im up for trying anything right now. i will if i have to but the ghost shrimp will start adding up, i ended up paying 6 bucks for 12 of them but she can devour them and every1 is saying feed her 2-3 times a day, that can add up.

It's always cool to read someone's first experience with a ray. I'm happy she's eating and doing well. I did the same thing when I got my first two rays.

I would start mixing in small worms with the ghost shrimp. Follow Fishdog's advice of mixing the food. She'll start eating the other stuff. Then I would work on getting her on shrimp, tilapia, etc. I got mine on pellets by mixing pellets with the shrimp and tilapia.

She'll get it in time. Mine eat the NLS 10mm pellets and massivore.

She'll be fat in no time.

uhhh!! im pulling my hair out haha. trout worms=mission failed.. just like the night crawlers, i thought i won. she was nibbling nibbling nibbling and spit back out haha. so then i cut them up, threw a small piece in. She took it n spit it out. Im going out to get sum stuff for another tank im setting up, i guess im stocking up on sum ghost shrimp for now

I have live blood worms and frozen krill and tilapia at my house. We can always bring over a sample of each and see if she'll take to it.

yea but i dunno wut else to do. shes skinny and right now that all i can find that she will eat. Ive tried shrimp, bloodworms, night crawlers, and trout worms, those arent working. Anything else i should try beshides ghost shrimp??


Mikey, i have 29 trout worms and 10 night crawlers if u want them for ur lil guy haha

I'll take anything your fish won't eat. I've got the gars who would benefit from a more varied diet then just krill and tilapia. Nothing goes uneaten in my tanks... they eat better than I do.

Yes my buddy madding has. That will be tried also today. Thanks gshock.. the only thing i dont like about bloodworms is they make a huge mess and usually get to my filter before her. Well that is the frozen ones ive tried. But i would assume they r the same as far as being messy, frozen to live?
