If she is eating the ghost shrimp aggressive then get 6 of them and squeeze them in the net to kill them and see if she eats. If she does then wait a couple of hours and do the same but add small pieces of frozen shrimp. Nothing fancy just the cheap kind from walmart that comes in the bags. I think 80-100 is the smaller ones. I had stubborn rays that would only take ghost shrimp converted to frozen shrimp in 2 days. They just have to recognize it as food. Cut the shrimp into small slivers and squeeze it up with the ghost shrimp then drop all in together.

I don't think there is anywhere around here that actually sells live blackworms.

Ok tried this yesterday. i went and bought all the ghost shrimp they had left. only 11. i killed about 4 of them threw them in. she ate em up. then i killed 4 more with sum slivers of shrimp for the store and squeezed them together, threw everything in she only ate the ghost shrimp lol. So today i tried frozen krill. That was a mission failed also. Not sure wut to do now becuz all the ghost shrimp is gone. the lfs wont get anymore untill thursday.:(

i think my only option, and the only thing left that she was eating that i havnt tried yet is rosy red feeder fish, i guess ill go get sum of those. I cant see her even catching them tho. it was hard for her to catch the live ghost shrimp

I would avoid the rosy reds, ya never know if one could have a parasite or not.

If she's eating the dead ghost shrimp and at least sucking the other food in her mouth, it's only a matter of time before she understands the other is food too.

Rays can live a long time with out food. Either order some ghost shrimp on your own or try and feed she small pieces of shrimp and worm twice a day until thurs gets here. Remember to take the food out after about an hour if she doesn't eat any. When thursday gets here maybe she will be eating it and you will not need ghost shrimp. She will be fine in that amount of time if she doesn't eat anything trust me. I know you gut tells you different but I had a ray go almost a month without eating so they can go a long time.

Hey everyone good news she started to eat the trout worms finally!!! quick question tho, should i be trying real hard for my aro not to be eating them becuz sumtimes he snatched up a piece before it makes it to the bottom?? o by the way fish dog, im on day 7 with the medication for the aro and his fins r looking great!!

Thats great that she started on the trout worms. If you have to take a piece of PVC and stick it in the tank by the ray and drop the worms down through the tube right to her or close to her that way the aro can't steal them as they sink.

Hehe, this is fun, soon the rays will be attacking the pvc pipe because they know food comes out of it.

In my tank of vulchers, all the fish learned that food came out of the pvc pipe and I had to do away with the process because the fish would dive for the food and it freaked out the rays a bit.

They also assumed that any cylindrical object had food in it. This made tank cleaning fun. The entire time I would gravel vac I'd have fish attacking the vacuum and rays following me around like crazy.
