No need to soak. The fish go at them with no issues. The ansorgii seems to prefer the Northfin over the Hikari which is a bit odd since most fish go crazy for the carnivore/massivore food.

More POLYS,As the polys grow the tank starts to feel 'full', Im looking at reducing numbers and to help keep maintenance low. I have loved the fact aggression is low but wonder if that would still be the case if I were to rehome some....
There's barely anything in your 300. Seems kinda empty to meI've owned cichlids before. Seems as 1 cichlid equates to 4-5 polys of same size for bio. I'd say keep only pork chop and get a few more polys.
