were you in a big-brand store, or just a regular LFS? not to deliberately knock the big stores, but I'd be really surprised if any of the private LFS in my area would let someone do something so stupid . . .
there are these 3 huge pet shops (like twice the size of the biggest petsmart ive ever been to) called "allpetsclub" here in CT and theyve got healthy stock and variety no matter what sort of animal youre looking at in the store. the fish section staff are very knowlegable, and one employee was actually getting pissed off at a guy who kepy saying he knew what he was doing and he was buying a silver aro. i guess the guy wouldnt tell the employee his tank size or something.
