UV sterlizer with reef???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
not good for a reef tank.. uv will kill all the pods in your tank... they are great for fo or fresh tanks though..not to mention all the other micro organisms on your lr

In salt some people says it works some doesnt very controversial right now if it actually does something.

ya it will help by killing the freeswimming ick in your tank but wont kill the ick off the fish or the eggs.. how are you planning on treating the tank?? since its a reef you cant do hyposalinity,or copper based meds.

i had it in my reef tank once and i used kick ick.. it worked .. it took a lil longer than hypo or copper meds would but thats about all the options you have left.. unless you have some where to put your corals and lr...
