If you do much to the engine your always going to have to beef up your drive train, gearing and axles. It's pretty much common sense more power more strength. Large_Cichlids you can drop a 350 small block in there with a blower. Also run a 4 speed tranny with high gear ratios in the lower gears and lower as you go up for more accel. and top end.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have that much power, you will not be able to go without burning out in a front wheel??? LOL (But that would be mighty fun)

Hey. Well is should be a diff bell housing. So I dont think a 350 would bolt up. Maybe they make an adapter for it. Also The trans in that car cant handle much power. And are not cheap to build. I know its around 1400 just to rebuild. I know there are some kits out there for this motor. You could always take off the heads and some work done on them.. But the you will still have the trans problem. Best of luck to ya!
Stingrayguy is right for the most part. And I'm going to say that everything gets inherintly more expensive when you decide to mod something as it turns into a downward spiral of upgrades usually. Dropping a 350 in a fwd caddy won't be simple and probably not worth it since you could build a better project car for that kind of cash that would be rwd and still keep the caddy stock for it's reliablity/driveablility.
