lol thats pretty funny, I saw him doing that with the clam last night, I will go do another ammonia test now...

Hey if I bought some bioballs could I put them in my HOB filter? Its a aqueon 55. I can use prime as an ammonia neutralizer? Really? I am happy I still have a bottle from before I started using DI/RO!

Yeah you can put them in your filter.

Prime should have directions on the back for ammonia and nitrite reduction.

Us usual I screwed up and was using the FW test card to record the color lol. So ammonia is in check, actually it is just above 0, but I think I added an extra drop from the second bottle. Should I get the bio balls anyway? If I do add them will they be clanking around the filter? As I really don't want that since this tank is in my room.

Ok now that he learned that brine shrimp is food and your actually have to chase it to eat it, he went upto the top and tried eating a floating one. So from my knowledge if puffers I know that trying to take food from the top and seeing air bubble when he is trying to eat it is a big no no. So how do I know if he has trapped air in him? Thanks for all if you help and I hope this is my last question :).

I found him sleeping by the clownfish, except he was pointing straight up attached to the little clip thin that hold the pump and intake into the filter. What scared me is his mouth was so close to the surface so I am just hoping he didn't get any air. If he did, what are the symptoms?

That's just how they sleep, They don't really always sleep in the same place, mine was usually on a rock but a few times I caught him up by the filter tubes

You're being paranoid.

If he's not acting weird he's fine lol.

Next time just try sinking the food so he doesn't have to go to the top. Otherwise don't worry about it.

Yea I know, I am very paranoid the first couple days I have a new fish lol. Thanks for the help! Also since he seems to be settleing in well do you think I could add the goby this weekend? As one of my lfs finally got some nice ones in. Thanks!!
