Just curious. what size tank can you keep one solo? Say a specimen is only 2-2.5”.. i wanted to know how fast the growth rate is. Can you keep a 2” in a 75g for 1 year or 2?

I imagine that is what happened. It was super healthy. Eating pellets like a champ, then next day went to show it to a friend and it was dead. All the other fish were good parameters were fine.
Ehh.. I have piranhas and I thought I’d try something different.. if it’s a skittish as piranhas then I guess I won’t even bother. ty for the info
I found that if you put a background on the sides and back it helps a lot. Only gives them one view. I guess the sides make them feel something going to chase them maybe. Not sure but they still a little skittish but not as much.
They grow abt a .5 inch a month. They can be house in a 75 up until 9-10 inches they like get real skittish
Did you have a current/ wave maker? They seem to park right in front of it most of the day when you have those. They eat a lot more as well. So you can see some nice growth
