if it was a mistake that is one thing. but if the person doesn't want to make it right then you should call him out on it so others don't buy from them with out a guarantee. hearing stores like this makes its hard to buy from online sources. every time i think about buying online a post like this pops up. thanks for leting us know

See this line and use the PM, not the forums.
Disputes between buyers and sellers are to be carried out in private. Threads about a dispute will be closed or deleted.

Calling out a vendor for mistakes like this is not tolerated. It always ends in flame wars rather than a mature discussion. General rule for B/S is whatever transaction it is, it is best left between the buyer and seller in PMs, not public forums.

The point of marketplace feedback is because vendors and sellers wish to have such feature in place as part of their promotional strategies. Whether the feedback is positive or negative, you learn something in every feedback shelled out. Negative feedbacks, though it may ruin the reputation of another, nevertheless can effectively help the vendor improve his sale activities further. If the vendor receives negative feedback for a bad transaction, then he deserves it and has no right to complain but we should not call him out in public per the B/S rules.

Mods are here to clean things up. If it comes to a flame war, people should be handed infractions and dealt with. Not to get argumentative but I still think the vendors name should be allowed to be posted openly if they make a mistake. It's not like they don't have a chance to defend themselves and fix their mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. It would just be in the vendors favor to correct the mistake, if he decides not to and then nobody orders from him than that's his fault. Maybe I just don't understand the B/S rules but it's hard to trust people on the internet. I say leave all the feedback you want. Feedback is feedback, it's not for others to decide until they've made a purchase.

It's hard to make purchases online after reading something like this^^. This is a ridiculous rule that should not be enforced. This is why everybody has to pay top dollar for their fish from the big name vendors. Favoritism much? Maybe I just don't understand..

I don't see what the point of the marketplace feedback is unless people are going to use it. .
To use it you must provide a link to the MFK transaction ;) This was NOT an MFK purchase.. The vendor is here.. but the purchase was from aquabid ;) Therefore using it here is not elligable..

Calling him out here for a transaction that happened elsewhere has proven in the past to be a bad move for the OP.. Especially when a vendor does not post or come here... That is still an MFK Flaw that is hopefully still being worked on... If you go to aguabid.. There are only a few that are selling these.. And you can derive yourself who sold these.. But if you are incapable of taking that into your own hands, do not expect someone to do it for you :)

Also since it seems like the Original poster has no camera...

here are some that came from Rapps :D And are ncie now :) These are from an order a few months ago.. I just seen them the other day and they are red as red :)

Campare In my opinion they are way different at this size than Turq or greens...

The babies on Aquabid right now Look Completely different... The Adults on aquabid right now are clearly NOT rotkeil...

Just my opinion. If they are they are very bad stock... For colors anyway..

I agree with you tongue, if the purchase was made on another site, let the feedback be left there (which aquabid does have a feedback section, please use it for others sake!) I don't necessarily like the idea that you have to have bought fish from a specified thread on here but it will cut down on bogus feedback which will help out in the long run. Either way, it's a gamble buying things from anybody online. Somebody has to leave the initial feedback and if you're that person that get's screwed it sucks but at least others will have an idea who they're buying from. It's kind of common sense on who to buy from and who not to buy from. I won't be purchasing anything from members with 2 posts unless I'm picking the fish up myself. I always make people send me paypal receipts before a purchase online in case I do get screwed, paypal will take care of it. I've only been scammed once and that was with western union (I know I'm an idiot) but I have the ladies address who scammed me. She will be expecting a visit from me my louisville very soon. ;) I just hope it as worth it on her end.

Get some pics up, ill give them a look over. ;)

Red fins don't count for much i'm afraid. Example in the avatar

And, like Japes said, Cant compare tank bred Hero sp. "mutts" ;) to a nice set of wilds/F1s.

Craggy

If they are low quality and several generations from wild stock they very well could be rotkeils and just not showing anything yet. I'm starting to see a lot of severums in stores listed as orange necktie severums that are nothing but crap rotkeils that have very little color. From looking at aquabid I think that's what you have. They probably won't get much color until they are well over a year old and then will only have a light orange around there neck. They will never get the intense red you are looking for. If they are not wild or F1 don't buy them.

i beleive that the vendor should give you a refund or send you some of the correct species, other wise it could be classed as false advertisment and the vendor im sure doesnt want to get himself a bad name.
