Okay her tube is starting to descend and she looks to be preparing to lay eggs. So... female. But look how much her nuchal hump has enlarged just in the past few days!!

Liz an easy way to tell if the fish is near or an adult over 6" is if the organ is rounded its a female and if pointed its a male. A males organ will be very sharp at the tip like a sharpened pencil. After you look at several fish you'll get the hang of it. If the fish is smaller you almost have to pull it out of the water and vent it. In this case if the tube is the same thickness maybe a bit larger then the anus its a male. If its considerably larger in diameter then the anus its female.

No idea on the sex but thats one nice looking midas/reddevil looks more red devil to me then midas
