I say you can sex by visual traits and so everyone posts their fish and as soon as I get one wrong they say....'hah I told you sooo' LOL

Bigspizz you have to admit that is no typical female you have there. I said Amphilophus was difficult and it's monster steriod freak females like that one that make it hard. LOL

And I agree with you 100% about the venting of fish. That is a sure fire way to sex, I was just simply trying to state that there are visual traits that can identify male from female, is it full proof...of course not but I've seen people guess the vent wrong too

This was never a discussion about me thinking I could sex by sight better then venting. I agree with venting and I vent most of my fish for positive sex. I just want to make that clear one last time.

Spizz has a problem showing the whole fish.. Given the picture you will note that everyone that has looked at her has said male It's not your fault she is manly... And he does that to everyone ...

No eggs yet, but I've put her in a 90g by herself and she might settle down and lay some soon, who knows.

Okay since being in the new tank alone, he/she has grown a little nuchal hump and has gotten BERSERK. I had a large pleco in there with it but had to remove it because all of a sudden aggression has set in. I think this guy/girl is getting more beautiful by the day and is now 5.5". I tried to get a better vent pic, it's not much clearer. Any opinions?
