Kind of reminds me of how yellow perch hunt. 1 lies in wait hiding while the other 2 would chase the prey to it and then bam, an attack from all 3 sides.

got a 110 stock tank with midevil fingerlings in it growing out.and a 29 gallon tank with midevil fry along with red dragon flower horn
Lol definitely better then my 60g tall I had my breeding pair in and the 30g I used as a grow out tank.
hes my favorite fish,hes prolly about 3 years old or so.hes calmed down some since i got him a lady.shes the only fish to ever live with him long term without a divider
man these fingerlings i swear are bigger everyday i look in there..i also use the growout tub to soak my homemade driftwood
Yeah my male was pretty well the same way. He'd try to kill everything I housed with him untill he got his girl and then almost instantaneously he was a different fish.
yep exactly that.hes always remained changed as well.still doesnt like other fish though.i remember i had to remove the fry last time since they were eating the female alive and he was being abusive to her.so took her out for a few days and then ended up saying f it and removed him put him in the 125 with others and he was all messed up from that.just aimlessly moped around the tank,letting other fish size him up biting him even taking scales off..he didnt flinch at all.then i added the female which they immediatly recognized each other and then a day later they were preparing to purge the tank cause they wanted to spawn again with the female this time leading the charge and him just backing her play
