It really depends on the size of the fish. The bigger they are, the longer they can go without food.

Hi guys ive got a 5 inch IT and he only eats frozen krill and blood worm so im going to try starving mine too,see how long it takes us both to get them eating pellets.

He guys, its been like 5+ days. Still nothing. He's very eager to eat when he sees me hoping it'll be krill or something else. I may try brine shrimp and spirulina as that would be a bonus also, but i'm trying not to give in so he can start eating hikari carnivore sinking pellets. How much longer could I keep this going without my favorite fish dying?

Never saw a Dat starve itself to death. Eventually it will get hungry enough to try it. Keep offering it what you want it to eat, and nothing else.
