Lol,and they all are well aware that when they are given that time slip by the officer the visit is over and they are to stand and walk toward the changing/search area. Most of them have no problem complying with the instruction but every once in a while you have someone who wants to show off.The visiting room is a large area full of unrestrained inmates of various charges at any given time during visiting hours. Its pretty much a riot waiting to happen. The officers don't generally have handcuffs but imagine trying to place a pair on an irate inmate who has an audience.
This is where "exactly" belongs imo.
As soon as as you're disobeying, you're subject to being corrected. So what if it's a sucker punch, why is twisting someone up better?? And how could you give the second guard any grief in a situation like this?? Should he have asked what's going on first?
Still, theres the basic standard that they shouldn't be attacking prisoners. Restraining them. You know, the whole point of a prison is to contain them, not have a fight club. They are supposed to be above all that and maintain control in just these types of situations.
So you guys would rather split hairs as to when a strike can be used to control someone? For a convict? This guy can't be civil, that's why he's where he's at.
You're assuming that this guy committed a violent crime. He might be locked up for something like theft. Nothing implies that this guy is a violent offender. Loud mouth, sure.
