I guess it's easy for an outsider to call it that way but the moment the inmate's hand moved he took the situation to another level.There is no time to try and figure out what intentions are behind the gesture.I don't feel sorry for the inmate what so ever and i'm not saying this inmate had not been asking for it. but I gotta call it like I see it. the fight didn't have to happen. your coworker threw a punch that wasn't called for.

I don't disagree with you that he needed to do something, but isn't he trained to control the inmates, not street fight them? Should be the same as police officers. They shouldn't be boxing with someone, they should be restraining and detaining.
I wasn't there, so my opinion is only that, but looked to me like the attack was uncalled for. Cuffing him and escorting him out, yes. Not getting into a fist fight with the guy.
