Regarding the pic I posted in my buy and sell thread yesterday it was 1 of several I recieved from DC before and during his trip to Columbia. I posted the pic, reverse asked what it was and I stated F0 vontehillo carpentis as that is what I was told they were. Obviously they are not I accept responsibility for this mistake and appolgise for this mistake it was not intentional and I'll try to make as few as possible in the future. As far as being deceptive that was not my intention all the wild adults have been sold only a few F1s remain and they are all pending shipment. I never offered the fish in the pic for sale or claimed they were my fish. I did not rush to respond to this thread because I wanted to speak with Don and get the facts before posting anything. I will attach an e-mail he sent me earlier. As far as avoiding issues or not responding....I spend much days and evenings with my dad who has been hospitalized with pneumonia since 2/510-2/18/10 and is now in a rehabilitation facility regaining his strength to return home...my family is my priority I cant find time for taking care of fish some days and responding to threads is not a priority right now. Vontehillo may mean the world to some people on this forum who make it a 24/7 issue but they are just some little fish in my tanks and nothing more, I've never made a big deal about them. So while I will answer any question you should pm me or better yet call me as i will not be back on this thread.
Ira,
I just researched the properties of this image of the group photo. This particular pic is not mine but from a customer of mine in South East Asia taken several years ago. They are Panuco carpintis, not Vontehillo. I apologize for any problem or inconvenience this might have caused you. Please find attached photos I took of species Vontehillo about 4 months ago. The hand held was taken at the lagoon directly after capture. The difference in populations is obvious.
Thanks,
Don
