Thanks! She eats 3-4 small hand fulls of massivore pellets every 3 days. Tank is a 5'x3'x2' 230g. Shes the only inhabitant and its on auto drip 4gph. 96gal a day. I dont do anything outta the ordinary for filtration. Sump is a 65 gal with 2 30" socks and bioballs.Nice and fat! Good job
Also how is that tank so clean?!

Theres a bit on the floor from a close by window, the front glass accumuliates a bit of food dust also but nothin crazy... on the 2 days i dont feed i do vacuum this tank of any debris/turds. whats nice is i can take out 20-30 gal with the sump still running and the autodrip fills it back up over the next cple hrs. kinda like a mini w/c on top of the drip.Pretty solid system! Tell us please how you determined the gender. I know how I guess the gender for mine but wanna know how you do it.Update on my girl, shes been here over a year and is around 24"...Hand feeds pellets like a champ and will be making her way to my 450 or 500 in the next few months.
Not 100% sure but im pretty positive on this one... from what ive read females are more active, broader head/body and tend to be more personable especially when it comes to feeding. Ive owned atleast a dozen or more reg. rtc's. This 1 surpasses them all for personality, activity...and girth. On the reg. rtc's ive read u can tell by the amt. of black on the lower portion of the body. Females also will have a yellow sheen to them. The males will have more black on the lower portion... u can tell by the vent also... Ive never had a hunch before about cat gender but its pretty apparent on this 1 when u see the vent... looks very similiar to a female ray. Last evidence i have is this one was purchached by a friend who got 2. It grew faster and larger than its batch mate in a short time...a typical sign for female preds amongst most fish sp..... I may just be crazy lol... but theres a good article/post i read somewhere of a member who had a pair with breeding activity and the facts seem to be lining up with that info. ive had a few people say it looks like a short body. i believe its just the very broad head/upper body consistent with info on rtc females.Tell us please how you determined the gender. I know how I guess the gender for mine but wanna know how you do it.
