Forget a pond, more like a lake for put your fish into.
Im not sure about getting lake and shovelnose sturgeon, they are pretty hard to hands on them....what kind pond? Natural (hole filled with water)? Stay away from stugeons in the pet stores....If i were you, I will steer away from sturgeons. If you planning to get a sturgeon, make sure you get a sturgeon from a hatchery with your recipt. Just focus on the fish what you have now, not thinking about future until your pond's settled down and let forage fish breeding in your pond (depends how big it is) for a year before add any fish you want. Make sure its enough deep for winter as you dont have any room to house 3 footers. Otherwise you will ended up having winter kills. Tiger muskie are pretty aggressive too, will attack ANY fish.
Gars, bowfins and bullheads make good pond fish than wipers, tiger muskie, sturgeons, walleye, perch and big catfish. I rather get bowfins and gars over catfish, muskie, walleye, wipers and sturgeons any time.
