I didn't say any of that but I surely would not be using a credit card if I were unemployed and didn't know where the money would come from to pay the monthly bill.
would that not mean there are more reasons to use the credit card. You earn by using your credit card. When you get home, put the money on your credit card for the purchases you made that day. Now you get a bonus for doing that instead.
Win win in my books. I use my credit card for almost everything. I try to not use it at small businesses since credit card companies normally charge them like 3% or something crazy.

Sounds good but like I already said, one was not used in the situation so why harp on it.No need for hypotheticals.

Now had cash been used there would have been no mistake,no one going on and on about credit cards and no thread.

Since we are talking about credit cards. An interesting thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I got a letter from my card company that said after analyzing my account they determined the net profitability was to low and they were raising my rate to 19.99% on anything charged after a specified date.
So watch out if you do not keep a max balance and only make minimum payments, the greedy SOB's will get you one way or another. The legislation passed to make credit cards better for all of us only made mine worse. Thank you congress for screwing me over by looking out for me!

credit cards are scams. dont ever use a credit card. ITS A SCAM

Cash is King, for reals.

would of been a lot easier for both ends if someone pays for everything then reinburst that person back later. but you guys made it difficult for her and accidents do happen. so dont fully blame it on her. when i was in houston and worked for our restaurant i once had a party of 25 people. and instead of one or a few people paying. i had 12 people splitting the bill and giving me their cards. it was frustating. i had to mark down who ordered what and had to make sure i got it right and not over/under charge. would of been a lot easier if 1 or 2 people paying.

a few months ago. i went to go deposit cash in my atm bank. right when i deposit the cash.the machine decided to mal function and shut down. nothing i could of done. no receipt proving i deposit...nothing! WTF! right....what perfect time. i went to the other ATM machines to see if the money was deposit in my bank..and it wasnt!so i had to go to the bank the next day explaining what happened. it took them over a month to get my money back. good thing for camera's cuz that was the only proof i had.

Well put, up until you have to deal with it..

Which can consist of ...

Having to miss work, leading to less money (depending), to a not so happy boss, to not so happy co-workers cause they have to pic up your slack....

Using a lot more gas than normal, remember the OP lives 45min from this establishment..

Frusteration from having to miss work, leading to less money (depending), a not so happy boss, to not so happy co-workers cause they have to pic up your slack....and the gas issue... and really the list is endless...

All because Miss. Waitress didn't contact the manager during the situation.... :D not saying either that all managers are bright, this could still be happening even if the manager had been contacted... which really all comes back to the waitress.. and her inability to complete a simple transaction correctly the first time...

Dont get me wrong we all make mistakes, but that little CC machine gives you several chances to make it right.. all she had to do was cancel and redo.. but no, she did it enough times for the OP's bank to freeze her account because they suspected theft...

No one would be happy with this situation, and more so, would want more than it just to be fixed on behalf of the waitress... Clay you would even want to take down Miss. Waitress.. messed up bank account = :swear: people!

Yay!! Happy Sunday!! really it is.. I'm just voicing my opinion... :D:):D:):D
No pun intended, but I would save all the drama for the mama :D I would just pay the bill, collect it from the sister... That's how I deal with it ;)
