I lived in Riverview/Brandon area of FL as well :D....that Petsmart's fish section was ewww wasn't it? I don't remember the Walmart's fish though.
 
I totally agree with you Wal Mart is sick and twisted I hate them for selling oscars just yesterday I was in there and they had 12 oscars in less than a 10 gallon tank and almost all of them had ich, 2 of which had hole in the head, and 3 had eye cloud
I was so pissed I ended up talking to the manager and he was like "it's truely not our fault blah blah it's corporates decision as to what fish we sell here" then I asked why they aren't treating them for their diseases and he told me I was exaggerating and the fish were completely fine. WTF a;lsjdf;jas
 
Walmart feels like they have to sell everything even if they don't understand it.
 
IMO Wal Mart should just get rid of their live fish. Too many inexperienced workers with not enough good info..........
 
My walmart got rid of their fish tanks and now only have a semi-stocked fish supply department. I have no clue what happened... now if I can only get meijers to stop selling fish...
