i figure if you can breed auranti you can breed barca.

Aurantimaculata don't burrow in tunnels, but barcas do tunnel, basically occupy bee eater bird abandoned nests.

There have been trials, but no success yet

Really, afaik they're still being sold to China from india, they're being fished at such a pace, that now we even see 4-5" specimens for sale.

Earlier it always used to be 10-11"

Well thats still better then 1500usd for a large specimen. I would love to keep barca in the future but for now im enjoying my rabbitpair of asiatica. The have released three batches of eggs in two months now.

yeah i'd believe that too. but with the chinese u never know haha
