if your 20 then you really have all the power. get an advocate from the charity your working with, like Cholly said, and then take control of your own money. i highly doubt you will get kicked out for forcing them to give you control of your money.
they like having your $400+ coming in and they will do everything to keep it coming in, they will probably threaten to kick you out and the like but they probably wont.
they cant stop you getting to your money, they know that but they will rely on fear to stop you, bullies rely on fear and intimidation working. thats what they are if they make it difficult to get access to your finances.

well the 400 is for rent and ( well 300 for rent 100 for food ) and i get 75 dollars a week but im not able to have the full 75 a week for some reason

Yeah you need to move out. As said talk to the people, get your money then get out. You can do it just make sure you get that job when you move out. Just know that you will have to live without luxurys like cabale/internet for a bit untill you get situated and know what you can afford as far as "extras" go. Its time for you to grow up and get out... you know what you want so go get it done or it will never happen. For one person you shouldnt be spending more then $40 every two week on grocerys... get good food and make it last. Eat leftovers for lunch... make something like spagettii that can last a while and you can eat off of it. A whole chicken is also cheap and goes a long ways. You have to learn to make your income work for you.

This is just some of the expenses that you will incur living on your own. You seriously need to consider just how expensive it can be so fill in the ? blanks above. I'm sure I missed a few other ones.

Also, any money you receive from SSI MAY be reduced if you work. Contact the group you are working with and go over the specific costs and what help is available to you.

thanks ash! well i got the email and only thing stopping me is for someone to co-sign for me! grandad is pissed ( sry for lang but thats as best as i can describe it ) hes like * well you promised they you would stay for another yeaar if we got the laptop ( came out of my money ) and now you breaking the promise!?!? no wonder we cant trust you! blah blah blah ) i told him everyone my age is living on there own nowadays so why cant i! but again all i need is a flippin co signer! grrr noone to cosign for me here! irritates me!

GUESS HOW MUCH I HAVE SAVED! I THOUGH I HAD 300 BUT LOW AND BEHOLD I HAVE 600 LEFT/SAVED!!!! my heaqrt just about stopped after i found out! and this month includding secerity depisot is 351 for a one bedroom.

I very highly doubt you will find anyone to co-sign for you. That's a lot of trust in a stranger that you're going to pay your rent, you realize both parties would be responsible right?

If you really think you're not going to be able to splurge with cigarettes then you probably should re-evaluate things. Meaning, if you really have to quit smoking to be able to move out you probably have more things to worry/think about. Lastly, $600 doesn't get you far when you're out on your own

man i learned so much from this thread right now. you have to think about the stuff your going to buy how your going to use it. well i think you should save as much money as you can and then move out and talk with your grandparents about your aunt. but thats just me. good luck with it all bro.
