i just purchased a a fish tank and have fallen in love with that. so now i want to start housing reptiles. im not really sure where to even start at but i do know i want either a pair of geckos or an interesting lizard something fun, but not to big. and i just wanted to see if anyone could kind of show me the way on what i need to have to own one of these.

ya... leos are always a good starter.

I agree, leos are a great starter

i personally do not like leos, all they do is sleep, poop, and barley eat....
but thats why they are for beginners lol

i feel ya, with a 20l id do some agamid baby o somthin cool like a beardy

i agree, geckos are cool but you cant really handle them all to much. they drop their tails so easily. id get a 40 breeder and start off with a juvenile bearded. they are easy to care for, get some decent size for handeling, and have good temperments. you might also look into a mali uromastyx. require more specific care but would do well in the 40 breeder as well. good temperments and great personalities. look into the different kinds of plated lizards too. they are very hardy as well.

i'd go with leos, beardies are a bit more complicated than leos with the lighting and feeding.

leos need a couple hide spots, paper towel, tile or reptile carpet substrate, a food, water and calcium dish and a UTH set to 90f. they'll eat about 30-50 crickets or mealworms within the week and are very hardy.

and their tails do not drop as easily as some say.
