Wanting to get in shape for the summer!?

Alright guys and gals I need your help. Now is the time I need to start to get in shape for summer (gotta look good in a bathing suit you know) I have been trying to work out at our gym in our apartment complex. That lasted about 3 days. :irked: I work two jobs and when I get home from work the last thing I wanna do is go to the gym!

So my question to you all is...what are some good things to eat to try to loose a little weight? I get burned out on salads really quick and with the dressing they aren't even that healthy! I cook dinner for my boyfriend and I a couple nights per week and I am out of healthy ideas!
 
just cut out all unnecessary calories. Soda, deserts, chips.. etc.

There are a lot of those frozen meals at the grocery store that you can steam in the microwave that are pretty good.

otherwise. i used to go on walks during lunch at work. walking is the best exercise. just do a brisk walk. i actually would take exercise clothes to work, so i didnt stink afterward.

I lost 5 lbs in just a couple weeks just walking a mile a day at work! i worked a desk job, so it was imperative that i got some exercise or i would have ended up with "secretary spread"
 
You could always take walks with your boyfriend...
Or could aslo buy a healthy cook book (blah.)
NO, just don't use any of that splenda stuff [eeeew]
 
Baked chicken....Pretty much anything that is baked. Salads are fillers. You can eat so much, then 3 hours later your hungry again. Baked anything will get the grease, fat, and all the good tasting stuff out. Get some low fat everything. Eat less pre-portions, but eat 6 times a day and not eat passed 7pm. Drink diet, tea's, and believe it or not less water. Water weight retains in your muscles. But when working out, drink water. I really don't like to count calories, because it causes stress. Burn calories more then you eat in calories, that's the only time i count them. Crap, I can go on and on on how I do it, but that is my body type. As for your body type and mine....we are all different.

P.S. (Por got Sumthing) I also drink "Goji" berry juice. It's like gummie berry juice. Same effect as in the old school cartoon. "Bouncing here and there and everywhere...We are the Gummie Bears".
 
Yes I love to walk. I walk everyday. I have a puppy that I walk and I work in a resturant so I'm always running around that place. I also work at a coffee stand so I drink a lot of coffee so I think I might stop drinking that even though it will be really hard. I just need some healthy meal ideas.... I have looked through healthy cook books and everything just seems so blah lol. I guess I can't be so picky
 
cut down on red meat... if you have it make sure it is lean.. and eat more chicken.. turkey etc..fish, drink lots of water..it works for me} eat lots of veggies.. cut down on bread.. more fruit and yogurt.. take raisons and nuts as a snack.. handful is enough to give you zip..eat rice and beans instead of meat... try to keep things natural.. turkey cutlet and veggies is filling.. half a bagel instead of whole bagel... eat cereal... sugerless types.. as a snack or meal loaded with banana or blueberries.......my favorite thing to eat when i need to lose weight but i am hungary and need energy is to eat pasta..first lightly saute in butter or margarine or olive oil lots of garlic and mushrooms and peppers..and sweet onions.. then toss with the pasta and sprinkle with soy sauce and parmasan cheese...i could eat this everynight.. delicious...and healthy and fat free..if you need some meat ..just throw in some chicken or meat balls... etc.. or keep them on the side
