Getting juvies local is the best way in my opinion. Post them up, maybe mfk can help you out. Kamfa are easy to pick but have the most variation in fry.

That cross will be hard compared to kamfa x kamfa. Try to get a deal on a few, select the shortest and roundest faces you can. Look for pearls especially tight clusters along the lateral line and face. Color wont be too strong yet but if you can see a colorful base that helps. The main thing with the parrot cross is face and mouth shape.

It's a mix bag for sure. MAy be I am just not good at it. Few fish has surprised me a lot on how they turned out after looking at old pictures.

Chris rounds is good bet if you want kamfa. Fish would cost you between 120-250 from him though. He has been trying to bidding and few fish have sold at $60-70 + 50 something for shipping.

Dont let the parrot blood scare you away. I see lots of good little fish there. Pick the best one, they are only $10.
This might be a good idea if you want to try out. Actually pick 4-5 good ones as they grow sell the ones which lag behind. Still a gamble but with better chances.
