Correct this is not a dovii or a grammodes. Looks like a managuensis but the fins and body shape are off, I agree it's a parachromis hybrid of some sort. You will still have a big parachromis but no 25"

I'm looking at it more and it does look a bit like a dovii, possibly hybrid with managuense? Won't be able to tell 100% just by looking at it unforunartely

Thanks everyone for the replies! Perhaps I must wait until he is a bit bigger? The guy that gave them to me said they were a dovii pair. The female definitely looks like a female dovii but I just have them separated to avoid breeding since the female is very aggressive with other fish.
