I think an AC 110 is a little much for a 35....

pish posh, i ran my 40 with an ac110 and a penguin 200but i like to overfilter:)

just clean out your filter sponges from your 55 in the 35, that will speed up cycling tremendously.

they both look good too bad the hybrid has issues... Never had a fish with swim bladder probs is it fixable ????

You meen the blue filter pads?
Just swish 'em around in the water? Next W/C I'm just going to throw the blue filter pads away(I do every W/C as supposed too) so should I just put the blue filter pads into the 35's AC110?

Sorry for sounding like a n00b. Just havent cycled in a long time as i had the 55 and 35 running for 3 years until the storm hit and power was out for 6 days and all the fish died in the 35 and only two plecs are left in the 55. :irked

That's the thing that scares me about buying fish and having them shipped.. I've never bought a fish and had it shipped before so i'm a noob in that aspect of out hobby.

any filters/sponges that are "dirty". remember all your trying to do is introduce BB to the tank, cleaning dirty filter media in the 35 will introduce BB to the tank. or just throw the whole pad in the tank.
