I was doing a very very large water change by siphoning water out and pumping it in at the same time and just got done, my water is around 70° so it’s really cold especially for my tank and fish, there’s bubbles on the glass and plants which I think is from cold water and now my FH is moving a bit slowly and mostly staying still in an Anubias plant in the corner, my spotted Raphael was glass surfing a minute ago but went back to hiding and the foot of ny apple snails are kind of curled up sticking out of the shell, everything is still alive but I feel like I really messed up. Please help. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I get bubbles from water changes. Not sure if it’s temp change or just lots of air getting trapped.
Heater should bring it back up quickly, I wouldn’t be too worried, the fish is probably just stressed by it being a sudden change.
I don’t know too much on snails.

I have the heater set to 82° and it’s going up hardly at all and it’s been 30 minutes. Daisy still hasn’t moved out of the corner much.

If you're that worried about it just syphon some out and put some hot water in from the kettle to speed it up. Does your refill hose not attach to a mixer tap so you can adjust the temps? Also, did you add dechlorinator whilst filling/emptying?

Just a heads up too. Water changes are best done where you empty "X" amount out, AND THEN refill. Emptying and filling at the same time is not ideal. You don't know what % of change you've done, but more worryingly you're syphoning out dechlorinator too before it's had chance to neutralise the chlorine.

After a bit I took out the siphon so it was just refilling and added dechlorinator whike it’s filling I was just tryna save a bit of time because it’s been a busy stressful day for me today. I used a garden hose to fill it up so no I couldn’t adjust the temps. I get paid tomorrow and I should have way more than enough to buy a python. Only thing is, first paycheck comes via us post office which takes forever.

^i agree with esoxlucius esoxlucius

I’ve done the same and done a chillier water change than intended and also have seen fish slow down for a few hours or more before resuming normal activities.

in the winter time my water supply has more than normal air bubbles in the cold water and it coats everything in my tank including fish. Doesn’t seem to have an affect on the fish.
