You might be doing more harm then good over correcting the first mistakes you made. Just put a dose of prime for precaution. Make sure the water is well oxygenated, good flow. and leave him alone with lights off. Check on him periodically. And don't cut corners again.

Yes but only cleaned algae off the intake tube. I know I shouldnt have done that and I wasn’t thinking.

That's fine if you didn't touch media. I was thinking it could have off set the cycle.

Top fin yea. This was the first time since I’ve had the tank

You still have carbon pads as your only media? Ditch the carbon pads when you can and transition to Fluval bio rings and foam padding.

For proper HOB filter maintenance you should be rinsing media in tank water at least 1-2 times a month. And the media I recommended above with maintenance will last almost forever. The foam padding does need replacing after a 1-2 years though but long enough not to worry about it.

I think you’re going to be fine, 82 to 70 is a pretty drastic change, some time to acclimate once the water warms up and you’ll everything will be good.
