i've read about some people using cold water for water changes and some people using heated water for water changes, i was wondering how you guys do it?

here is the format.....

tank size:

stock:

water change amount:

new water temp:

dechlorinartion method:

For my tanks I put in the same temp water that I took out. Size and stock really doesn't matter. I use AquaSafe to dechlorinate.

here is the format.....

tank size: 55g

stock: 2 senegals, 1 delhezi, 5 giant danios

water change amount: it changes, but usually around 12g a week

new water temp: i don't know, around the same as the tank, i feel in the tank and than the bucket and if it's too hot i leave it for a while and if it's too cold i add some scalding water

dechlorinartion method: :screwy: add the dechlorinator and come back in 10 minutes and add it to the tank
,

I use amquel+

fishaddict, the reason i ask about dechlorination is because some people prefer to let time time dechlorinate the water.

and i personally only leave it about a minute bout adding to the tank....

...Do you also add a dechlorinator?
If I remember correctly, chlorine takes about a day to evaporate, and chloramine takes about a week. A minute isn't going to do anything...

thats ample time with a dechlorinator. i add prime to my tank and refill straight from the tap and all my fish are fine.
