Watercow Goby eats REd Devil!

Thanks, This fish is one of those rare fish that has an awesome personality. He's interactive! I've trained him to eat mostly from my hand and he lets me guide him around the tank like a ship then turns around for a treat but never tries to bite my fingers yet! Though he difinitely would if he had the chance! He sees me walk near the tank and swims toward the top for food or otherwise chills out in his ditch. Awesome single aquarium fish!
Yes i keep water cows eleotris picta. They grow to about 18 inches never seen them over 15 in tanks, the fish you see over two feet are MARBLE SLEEPER GOBYS oxyeleotris marmorata water cows dont get 2 feet. ive keep them with stingrays and arowanas in my last tank.He's grown quite a bit since I got him, I'm doubting that he'll grow much longer but I'd like to see him really fill out! There's not as much info on him out there. Most sources say He'll get 9-14 inches but I've seen pictures of them over 2 feet long! He's currently about 13 inches
Does anybody else keep a water cow? HE's not very good with anything else except a sleeper that he lets live but he's eaten every tank mate or gets stressed if he can't eat them!
I use to have one and he would come to the top of the tank for food as well. He was kept with 3 oscars, salvini, pacu, clown knife, TSN and a pleco. Him, the knife fish and the TSN were the only ones who were never involved in fights in my tank. So I think it depends on the personality of them whether they can be kept with other fish or not. He had a chance to eat the TSN and knife fish they were small enough but chose not to. I want to get another big one, I have seen a couple for sale but didn't have the money. They difinitly are amazing fish to keep.

Owning a water cow is an experience! They're always available from my suppliers but I think one is enough for my store. Probably my favorite fish- Then again, I think I lucked out with "Big Garth" He's probably one of a kind! If you guys come in from out of town, lemme know you're from mfk.
