When I first saw this species I knew that I had to have it. It has taken me a while to get the size and type that I wanted but the day finally arrived. A BIG thanks goes out to Dan of Cichlids of the Americas (Cichluvr). He has shown me nothing but a high level of professionalism, patience, kindness, and diligence throughout the process of getting these beauties. I didn't want to subject these fish to any unnecessary time out of water or handling so I didn't place a tape measure to them. It took me too long to get them and I wasn't taking any chances. The male is close to a foot long and the female is around 10". Dan may chime in with more accurate measurements if he likes. The female's tube has also dropped. I noticed it while she was still in the bag. The pictures do them no justice. My skills as a photographer are severely lacking. They are also newly introduced and swimming everywhere. It's hard to get a shot when they are moving about so much. I hope you enjoy them. I will post more pics as they settle. Thanks again, Dan. We'll certainly do business again!
