Great looking pair. Glad to see these coming back into the hobbie.
I was very excited when I first saw this variant. I find them much more beautiful than the reds. And Thanks.

I'm glad I was able to connect you guys. Dan is a pleasure to deal with. I'm happy to consider him a friend. The pair look fantastic. I think these are the ones he was keeping in his house right? You're right, pics don't do these guys justice. The only thing I've seen that does is a youtube vid I saw a few months back. Anyway, good luck with the pair, they are so easy to mainitain unlike some other CA's.

Nice pic up....

You don't know how much I appreciate your advice! You didn't hesitate to send me straight to the source and for that I'm very grateful. I doubt very seriously that I would have found such a pair if I hadn't contacted you first. It's great when members are willing to share resources instead of hoarding them. I was hoping you would see the thread and add a post. I believe these are the ones from his house. I think my next post will have to be a video. I'm going to wait until they really settle in and after I change their tank a little bit. I almost wish I had waited to post pics because overnight their colors and patterns have increased. They are now showing much more reds and pinks. Their spots are very dark now. They are also very active, swimming and displaying to each other. They haven't taken any food yet, that I've seen. It looks like they are more interested in showing off to each other. Another good thing is Dan never fed them live, so their will be no need to ween them off of it. It also means that I won't have to set up another tank to raise feeder fish. Thanks again. I owe you one!:D

FYI, Mine KILL 7.5mm NLS and also Tetra Jumbo Min. You don't owe me a thing. I'm glad it all worked out. If you all want QUALITY at a reasonable price go to Dan!

I will try these foods. I need to go out and get more food anyway. I have 2mm NLS so I obviously will have to go bigger. I did throw in a few floating Cichlid Gold pellets at lights out. They were gone this morning, so hopefully the Snooks ate them and not my overflow box.

I know that I said that I would wait until later to post a video, but I had to capture this. They have been acting this way all day. They are particularly protective of the large flower pot. They don't like me coming near it. The male follows the camera as it gets closer to the female. Oh, I will be doing some aquascaping. I think these two deserve it!

Lol wow they look great!! Danger bro I was planning on letting my pair grow but after being reminded again of their potential, you've got me wanting to sit on mine longer:)

I appreciate that, especially from someone with such a nice collection. I will have P. Bass one day! It was hard enough to talk my wife into "letting" me get these two.

Definitely keep them if you can. I posted my two small ones in the Marketplace but still no takers. You can clearly see the degree of change between large adults and juveniles. Even my daughter likes them and she usually has little interest in my fish. Imagine, Dan has a male that's 17"!:WHOA:

I don't know why they gave up on the flower pot but they've laid eggs nonetheless. I quickly captured these pics with my phone so I wouldn't disturb them. There are already a lot more than this and the female just keeps on going!

I actually contemplated separating these two because the male seemed to be getting a bit too aggressive. The female gave as good as she got though. I spoke to Dan about it and he told me that this was normal behavior. Well, I'm glad that I listened to him. I'm still very surprised that it happened so fast! This is the calmest that I have seen the male since I placed him in the tank.
