Either way, the parents are beautiful fish, and I'm sure the babies (whatever they are) ^_~ are going to be nice-looking as adults.

Great fish, and breeding project. Don't let these guys get you down. I think your fish are what you say, or you at least you have 2 kk parrots. My two king long parrots looked nothing like kk parrots when I got them over a year ago, and they were at about 3-4 inches. Now they are a lot bigger, and totally look like king kong parrots. King kong parrots really don't look like parrots as juvi's, so that is the problem here. My fish changed a lot.
I think I am right about this, but I who knows? I got most of my knowledge from the "other" flowerhorn forum. They could clear up this debate.

One King kong parrot, the smaller/brighter one
The big, paler kk parrot, his hump isn't as pronounced here.
