I'm setting up an aquarium for my Tae Kwon Do master at our Do-Jang.
He wants something crazy weird. "Something that will make people ask "What is that?"" Now I have a few ideas but I would like some input on what you think would be the strangest fishy thing possible.

It will be a freshwater aquarium with a ph between 7-8.

Thanks for your time.

I'm a huge fan of polypterids. Senegalus or Delhezi would work well in a 55g. Also, african butterfly fish are a good "WTF" fish for those that have never seen them.

bump.

I thought Senegalus got over a foot at least, and a 55 gallon is a foot wide.

+1 on African Butterfly Fish.

I remember seeing a thread about fish with all these long filaments coming out from their necks, I just can't remember the name of the fish...

captive bred sens reach about 8-10" in captivity typically, delhezi's however do get larger
