Venemous snakes arent ilegal. Ive seen plenty of people keep extreamly venomous snakes such as black mombas rattle snakes cobras on a previous forum when i was into chameleons repticzone.com i belive it was. Just got to be careful i dont care if it was a snake but poor snake didnt deserve a death liek that.

They aren't illegal everywhere, but they are plenty illegal all over the place.

You cant find them legally in california, for sure.

beautifull snake....shame some people are idiots....

Uh...what is the point of him posting this? It's like "Look at my illegal, extremely venomous snake!" Stuff like starts panic and over-regulation...

The first rule of Venomous Snake Club is.... you guessed it; Don't talk about Venomous Snake Club.

Nah, I think you totally missed the point. Or maybe you didn't read the post, not sure. But he's saying don't own something like this, unless you can take care of it completely, because a vet wont help you.

I take it you didn't follow the link to the original site? It was posted on a public buy and sell classified site, not any kind of reptile forum (where it belongs). Blatantly telling the public you own deadly venomous snakes in an area where they are illegal is not the brightest idea...and did anyone else notice the pillows in the background (like the snakes are in his bedroom)? A responsible Hot keeper would never post something like this. I hope to God he's not keeping hots in those Exo-terra lidded glass tanks too...

Yeah, but it could have been people were selling snakes on that site... I've seen people sell illegal animals on craigslist, by naming common things and saying something like "Other species available upon request" or something to that effect. But I agree it would be much better on a forum of some type.

People do sell venomous snakes on there, but they don't brag about keeping them in areas where they are illegal. And to post it in a Classifieds section?!?

It was not "Well Said" like the thread title says. It was an attempt to show off (and yes, I do realize Fishes33 didn't post the original).

the pictures in front of you is the snake half dead when it came in

He's free handling a live (yes sick, but still alive) Rhino viper! And taking pics of it!

I apologize for the ranting, but things like this irritate me.

an update of the situation of why the post in the ads got deleted

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-pets-oth...-people-and-venomous-snakes-W0QQAdIdZ37140313

hey people i put the ad about the sick rino viper im sorry to say she died and the parisites i took out of her are in a jar.
since i put this ad up on kijiji about not buying what you know nothing about .
i was threatened by a person goes by the name emenem this person told me that i was going to go to jail for putting this ad up.
his name is kyle garcia and i really dont think that this is right and ive done nothing wrong to this person.
so i just want to say to this person if you have nothing to do all day but go on this site and threaten people with the police you are a sad sad loser.....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and hes still gonna brag about it xD

"Well-said?" Are you kidding me?

This guy can't even form one complete sentence in the english language, much less earn any credibility among the opponents to keeping venomous reptiles.

I think what the reptile-keeping hobby in general lacks is a united front as well as a good ambassador. People are bickering on message boards about one sick viper while the USFW Service proposes a bill this year that would ban the keeping of many commonly kept species of pythons and boas.

Come to Canada! :D another update

ok i took the ad off
i put an ad on this site telling people that if you don't know how to take care of what you buy then don't buy it.
what do i get back ?
i get back threats and people e-mailng me back to tell me that owning a venomous snake is illegal WOW SO SH,T tell me something that we all don't know ...now is there anything else you want me to know about how smart you are? the next e-mail i get is a threat from a kid with major problems that i sent the police after....
listen people if I'm putting an ad up its either I'm really stupid or i have a license
so guess which one i have and its not stupid.....
i work for a business that takes VENOMOUS SNAKES FROM PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING with them did you hear that....then we send those same snakes back to Florida glades herps or strictlys
so is there anyone else who wants to write to me telling me how wrong i am to be doing what I'm doing?
ohhh im going to get mail over this one
