just so u know most tanks are measured with the glass so the glass is counted. and he probably bought the tank being told it was a 35g tank.

Sometimes Im not sure if im an impulsive buyer or not, I always buy things that I think they are very good deal, but ends up regretting it..

hah! happens to everyone now and then, that's why when stuff is too good to be true you have to be reeaally careful, or you wind up "paying dearly for the economy" to quote my old boss.

Lesson Learned.
Next time, take along a tape measure. :)

But now the error of ways has been seen, so all is well again. You could try and settle the misunderstanding with the seller... or live with it and make the most out of that tank. Worst comes to the worst... sell it and by a bigger one.
:iagree:

It may be different in Canada, but in the U.S. if someone is under the impression that they own a 35 gallon tank, and sell it as that, it is the buyers responsibility to recognize the error. However, if the seller knows that he has a 25 gallon tank and sells it at as a 35 gallon, then you can take legal action.

I agree with davo 100%. The best way to deal with this issue is to contact the seller directly and work out a fair deal. I wouldn't include any mention of the police because that's just going to make him bitter.

I hope it works out for you...if not, you still have two nice tanks to work with.

have u even contacted the guy back? im sure u can work things out.
yes ewurm is right throwing tantrums aint gonna solve anything...

was ur bad at the 1st place. and its not even a "BIG" ripoff.

this is what the police said in reponse of this incident, hope I can get a refund / trade back :D

You can try and obtain a refund, if not you may want to try civil action. Let
the seller know that you have been in contact with the police to see if that
sways him. If the item offered is fraudulently advertised then the police may
get involved. If the sellers address is in Toronto, then the Toronto Police
Service should be called.

Good Luck

your an idiot, why would you call the police for a misunderstanding. most average people cant tell the size of the aquarium by looking at it. You are as a smart as my 4 year old sister.
