do you think i would be able to put an tiger oscar with it?

the only thing that my arrow kicked the crap out of so much that i had to get rid of three 8" ones that the arrow wouldnt let them out of a corner mines an ass though

FH is very risky.. my uncle has a red pearl flower horn with his 12" silver and they are fine.. but they grew up together.. but trust hes VERY lucky that it worked. But bichirs like casper said will be fine. Im going to get some to put with my arow. They are aparenly really cool to watch. Ive "seen" jack dempseys with arows but never experienced it so i wouldnt know. But they have nice colour. Its all about timing though like Bderick said.. id wait till its about 7" before adding anything. But the bichir should be forsure fine for your tank!

Farky an oscar will be fine.. ive had many oscars with arowana's. It will be fine.

WTF... your just posted a few days ago that you got your first aro:screwy:

You also have a thread similar to this and alot of people advised that oscars and baby aros are not a good mix.

So please explain why you are giving bad advise, you shouldn't even be giving advise IMO :duh:

First of all you dont know me or what i know. Second of all how can you say oscars wont work with arows when my uncles have both done it before. And excuse me but i meant to say my uncles have had many arowanas and have had them with oscars. And now i have my own arowana and i will try an oscar with it. Each fish is different how can you just say it wont work? Thats like saying every person on earth is a killer? its the fishe's personality. Ive already proved about 13 people wrong with my african cichlids before saying the mix i have will never work they will kill eachother but they were wrong.

Im pretty sure your not some expert on arowana's? And everyone has a right to put in there 2 cents.. and thats mine. Everytime i see a thread like this i see you post "nope it wont work"? why? how do you know it wont work? and btw i did say " i would wait till its at least 7" before put andthing with the arowana"

13 people, wow your such a master fish keeper. Look forward to seeing your posts on keeping your arowana and oscars together in a 40g tank

Besides my own personal experience? There are many past threads of young arowana being killed by people who decided they would keep them with cichlids. Yes sometimes it may work, but because of how many times it doesn't go well for the aro, why would anyone want to take the risk? Unless they are just selfish and don't really care for the well being of the arowana, very sad.

You dont have to be a smart a s s .. im starting to wonder whos the 15 year old and whos the adult? and im not putting the oscar in a 40G im waiting for my bigger tank. And maybe there is horror stories of arowanas and oscars. But there is also success stories :) Your actually so mature it amazing. Be open to other peoples ideas since your not some expert who studies arowanas even though you probably have lots of experience. im just saying not everything you say is exactly correct because it could work. And instead of just saying it wont work, why dont you help the OP out and give him some suggestions? since you know everything and what will work?:)

Success stories do not eliminate the risk. Why should the OP possibly suffer the fate of loosing his baby arowana, just because your willing to take a chance on killing yours?

As far as me being a smart ass, well maybe. If ya like search out tcarswell, he is the President of the official "Bderick67 is an A-hole" fan club. He might have a cool bumper sticker or something for ya;)

who said you were an a hole? your taking this way to seriously dude. It was just my 2 cents. Like you dont gotta get all mad..everyone has their own opinions... and the OP obviously doesnt just want 1 arowana.. he wants other species too. so why dont you help him out and give him some ideas? instead of making this thread about me? you got a problem with me then you can pm me:) I cant believe i am having an argument with someone who is probably double my age.... grow up dude and just chill dont make it personal.
