who said you were an a hole? your taking this way to seriously dude. It was just my 2 cents. Like you dont gotta get all mad..everyone has their own opinions... and the OP obviously doesnt just want 1 arowana.. he wants other species too. so why dont you help him out and give him some ideas? instead of making this thread about me? you got a problem with me then you can pm me:) I cant believe i am having an argument with someone who is probably double my age.... grow up dude and just chill dont make it personal.

Already said what needs to be said regarding the OP, post #16 and now quoted below. What else is there to say? As far as your opinions go, well I disagree and I will not just sit by and let you give piss poor advise.

I wouldn't risk putting it with any tank mates until 6-7" long

ok, thanks

as stated small aros = no tankmates till bigger...if you absolotly want to put something in with it...i have had (due to a lack of tanks for options) black ghost knife BABIES >4" larger ones could try to eat a baby aro, syno cat, peacock eel, gn pleco, 4" spotted rapheal cat...now i am NOT saying that your should put any of these in your tank...these ALL have risks...i did it do to other tanks not being an option with fish i have in the other tanks...but it is your fish and you could put a 10" oscar in with it for some color if you want...just don't come to the forum and say OMFG my oscar ate my aro or my MUST HAVE TANKMATE killed my aro...if you just wait you will have options, as now for your aros sake you have none

I would wait at least 10-12" for the Aro to be more comfortable with tank mates. Tankmates may cause lots of stress and reduces the Aro's hunger which slows down their growth rate.

As for choosing tank mates, there are lots of choices u could choose from. As u suggested Oscars, it would be ok as long as you don't get them too large. The Oscars might end up killing your young aro. You could also choose Tiger Datnoids. They are very nice and unique looking fish with great personality. Pbass's are another good choice and they add alot of color to your tank. You could even choose a school of smaller fish like clown loaches as long as you have alot of decoration in your tank for them to hide. I've seen many ppl on here with 24ft+ Aro's with schools of 4-5" fish without the Aro eating them.:D

dude your whole argument is pointless...you state YOUR UNCLES have had many aros...not yourself HAVE HAD many aros...as for your african tank i to have proven many many people wrong with them ex. balas, angels, eels, jardini aro, knives with africans and breeding africans so you aren't breaking new ground in the fish world...
