Just listened to the latest episode of Reptile Radio. They had Robyn from Pro Exotics talking about monitors. Very informative and enlightening show. He was asked which monitor was the most intelligent, and he said hands-down the croc monitor. Their company did away with salvadorii altogether, because they just didnt feel comfortable even selling the babies. While water mons and komodos can definitely match them for size and weight, crocs got the longest claws, the largest teeth, and the nasty attitude of a tiger.

Due to their arboreal lifestyle, and the prey they eat in New Guinea. Not sure if they ever had a breeding project for them, Proexotics really never did much with breeding monitors, mostly just buying clutches and or very nice LTC or farm bred monitors. They usually have first crack from the distributors. They do however breed alot of snakes

Well, from what he was saying, they seem to be doing more breeding now with varanids. They're workin on an albino sav project at the moment.

This wont be the first time they have had "projects" in the works, they did it with many species and when unsuccesful they almost gave up so to say, I hope they follow through we need more monitor breeders out there to promote cb.

Good one and also controversial. The longest is my beloved green iguana(Iguana iguana). The heaviest and biggest are the Cyclura rock iguanas. Which? Well Im bethuen the Mona rhinocerus and one of the cuban complex(cuban, lesser or grand Cayman)

I kind of lean toward C. cornuta but that's just based on seeing pics and vids of specimens. Rhinos seem to be a bit more heavily built.

Where to next? Largest agamid? Teiid?
