What are the signs of gill flukes? Heavy breathing?

Ok you guys helped a lot. I have noted her spazzing out a few times like hiccups or sneezing. I have lots of circulation and airation. Ive never used prazi on my henlei tank only on my teacup tank for lice. I will do a treatment do you suggest multiple treatments or just one? I would personally assume 2 one dose about 2 weeks after the first?

80 degrees is an ideal temp imo

prazi is ineffective against fish lice. Dimilin for those! ( "anchors away")
Amazon river water temperatures are lower than you might think!
If replicating the natural environment as closely as possible is a recipe for fishkeeping success then 80+F should only be a temporary high.

I used the prazi for fish lice and it worked immediately but having not done a second treatment they returned and now the prazi is ineffective just as you stated.

sorry but I don;t think so.....
Prazi has no effect on chitin.

I know these products im a rep for a large canadian aquatic wholesale company but united pet group discontinued jungle up here and kept only a select few sku's named under the tetra name instead. You guys in the US get access to so much stuff that we cant legally cross over the boarder. Ill have to find dimilin somehow.

As for the heavy breathing henlei's i have dosed with prazipro so ill just wait and see if it helps. Id just like some input on how many doses. Is one dose suffiecient or should i follow up?

That temp 80 is higher than natural conditions .......

If they were breathing hard due to temp it's because it's too hot !!!!!!

Henlei have a kinda sunken in head between the eyes . If its severe you'd know.head is different than the others these guys are used to. Theres Sometimes things you cannot test for with aquarium test kits . Prazi is a very safe med . If you have any scaleless fish they will usually rub on the bottom well before you see a ray breathing from a single lung.
