What baits have been working for bass?

Yes, sometimes I do.

When I spend $400-500 on fuel for my boat to go offshore and fish tuna, you better be sure I will pick up live bait from the receiver for $25.

You get 40-50miles offshore to find out the tuna are only biting on live bait, and won't touch a jig..... you are SOL.

Some days they will hit the lures (tuna jig). However, some days they will only accept live bait. I have learned this lesson first hand, and felt like a fool.

A true fishermen always comes prepared for every situation.
I even bring live bait when fishing freshwater bass.

I don't know where you get off saying live bait is cheating. Obviously it is a bold statement, and you do not know what you are talking about.

Even when fishing live bait, there is a lot of technique involved.
Which it appears you are not aware of.

for FRESHWATER live bait is cheating cause your not tricking the fish into attakin some thing fake your not mimiking live bait your using live bait. the pros dont use it its not allowed in tournaments and acually in the state of maine its illegal in the summer time to fish with live bait . salt water is a diff story its alot harder to find fish specialy when your surfe castin for stripers im not goin to lie i youse cut up bait. ,but this is about what LURES large mouth bass are hitting .

im not tryin to start something but its just a opinion , i think its unfair to the fish its not realy a challenge to cath them and i just think its a lazy way of fishing. anyone can use live bait and catch a fish , even a 3 yr old could do it..

i recently modified a rapala deep diver with a small spinning boom. its weird looking but i caught a 18.5 lrg mouth bass on the 3rd castwith it.!!!!!try it. you will be impressed. same day i ended up bagging 14 or 15 bass that day an some bluegill

caught me a 5lb bass on a worm today, i used a jig and spinner it wouldn't touch it, i threw a worm out there and 5 minutes later i had me a nice size bass.

ha i can agree with that its always a good back up for the slow days, but i rarely use it lol
